LOVG Album cover

Cover of the last album of La Oreja de Van Gogh (spanish band).
A very, very long work with a lot of characters and a lot of ... men ^^
I spent a lot of time on Leire's face because I didn't use direct photo references for her.
I already told it but I will tell it again ... all the members of the band were very kind and it was a pleasure to work with them :)

Warlock kitsch fan art

Fan art of the 80's german metal band Warlock and their singer, Doro Pesch. I tried to mimic the 80's album cover and poster of heavy metal :)
You kow what I mean : too satured colors, chrome, thunder, fire, leather, spike, etc ... ^^
I use to listen more ... brutal bands than Warlock and Doro but she was the first "pin up" I tacked up on the walls of my room when I was a teenager. She was the ultimate metal girl with her incredible long hair and her leather clothes. I saw one of her show few weeks ago and she's still beautiful :)

Heavy Metal Bambi

A kitsch picture of Bambi, the character I created for 2DArtist mag (http://www.2dartistmag.com/). A totally 80's picture with chrome, leather and lightnings :)
I was very inspired by Doro Pesch, the ex-singer of Warlock, an old school (and hairy) metal band.
I use a font which looks like the Iron Maiden band's logo.
The tutorial will be available in the July issue of the magazine.

Steampunk Wonder Woman

A fan art of one of my favorite character ... :)

My first idea was to make a picture of Lynda Carter but my wife was not agree ... So once again, Chloé was my model ^^

I think someone at DC have already done a steampunk version of some of their heroes but I'm not sure. I like the idea of a "tesla lasso" even if it would be totally useless ...

I was very inspired by Sir Thomas Lawrence, one of my favourite painter. I tried to have a more "painting-like" renderinf this time.

Gong Li and tentacle

A caricature of Gong Li (for me the most beautiful woman of the world ^^).

It wasn't easy for me, I don't do this kind of lighting very often.

I was very inspired by the tones (blue/green) of my talented friend Denis Zilber .

I used a photo reference for her face.

Done (with Photoshop) for an exhibition in Paris and Montreal this summer.

And no, I have no problems with tentacles :p
